About me
Michael has served as Summit School’s head of school since 2008. A career educator, he has taught and learned alongside students and colleagues from early childhood through graduate school and has held roles ranging from classroom teacher to division director to director of teaching & learning.
His formal background in learning theory, pedagogy, curriculum design, adult learning, and qualitative research informs his approach to leadership—though he’s more interested in what actually works, with real people, in real schools.
